Here at the Laura Power School of Dance we offer tuition of a very high standard. The school holds a passion for the enjoyment dance can give everyone. Taught solely by Laura herself, who graduated from The Hammond over 10 years ago, the school offers IDTA examinations, as well as yearly performances & private tuitions.

Our Classes

  • Ballet

    Ballet is the foundation and complements every form of dance. Ballet strengthens every muscle in your body, improves co- ordination, flexibility and memory. We offer classes from 3 years to adults, pointe work and private tuition for major examinations.

  • Pointe

    Pointe classes for Grades 4 plus, from ages as low as 12. Pointe is an art that requires hard work but is so rewarding once mastered!

  • Jazz

    Our Jazz classes offer a variety of styles and techniques from learning to feel the beat of the music to technical routines and commercial numbers.

  • Contemporary

    A form of dance that has recently become popular. Loved for its lyrical nature, elegance and emotion.  

  • Tap

    Who doesn’t love a nice shiny pair of noisy clip clopping shoes! Tap is definitely a class to have fun and enjoy! 

  • Dance Fitness

    Dancing isn’t just for kids ! We offer lots of adult classes too –classes that work your body and leave you smiling.
